Good benefits, stable company, stable earnings and cash flow. Industry is mature with large competitors, and high barrier to entry. Company watches expenses carefully.
There is little personal or professional development. Also a culture of meetings and more meetings with few action items that come out of the meetings other than to hold another meeting and nobody responsible for tasks.
Advice to Management
A lot of talk abut people being important but there is little real action or initiative to develop or promote anyone. Most position changes are lateral- I know almost nobody who was promoted.
