Simiron is seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to build and scale our Equipment & Surface Prep division. This role will be responsible for establishing Simiron as a national leader in floor grinding, surface preparation, and concrete polishing systems, including equipment, tooling, parts, and associated chemical products.
With 30+ locations today and a growth trajectory to 50+, this is a rare opportunity to own, build, and lead a high-impact category within a rapidly expanding organization.
Scope of Responsibility
Full ownership of the Equipment & Surface Prep category, including:
· Floor grinders, power trowels, concrete saws, vacuums, and joint filler pumps
· Diamond tooling, parts, and accessories
· Polishing chemicals (densifiers, guards, sealers)
· Simiron-branded equipment development and expansion
· Strategic partnerships with key manufacturers (e.g., Bartell, Lavina, Husqvarna)
Key Responsibilities
Category Leadership & Growth
· Develop and execute product assortment, pricing strategy, and vendor partnerships
· Identify market gaps and expand product offerings (Simiron + partner brands)
· Lead the development and rollout of Simiron-branded equipment
Vendor & Brand Management
· Negotiate pricing, programs, and terms with manufacturers
· Manage and grow relationships with key partners (Bartell, Lavina, Husqvarna, etc.)
· Optimize product mix and positioning across all locations
Team Development & Enablement
· Train and develop sales teams across all locations on equipment and systems
· Provide technical expertise and field support to drive confidence and performance
· Influence store-level sales teams through training, ride-alongs, and coaching
· Build scalable training programs, SOPs, and sales playbooks
· Recruit and lead specialized equipment/surface prep sales talent as the division grows
Revenue Ownership
· Own and deliver category revenue and margin targets
· Drive attachment sales (equipment + tooling + chemicals)
· Support key accounts and large project opportunities
Marketing & Positioning
· Partner with marketing on campaigns, product launches, and merchandising
· Position Simiron as a market leader in surface prep and polishing solutions
Qualifications
· Strong background in surface preparation, grinding, or concrete polishing
· Deep knowledge of equipment, tooling, and jobsite applications
· Proven success in vendor negotiations and relationship management
· Experience training, developing, and influencing sales teams
· Ability to lead both directly and through influence in a multi-location environment
· Entrepreneurial, builder mindset with a passion for scaling a business unit
