DCNE is currently seeking a full-time Consulting Sales Engineer to join the team at the Malden, MA location, Monday – Friday. Competitive salary plus incentive offered, including medical, dental and 401k.
Position Summary:
In this key position, the Consulting Sales Engineer will represent the technical expertise of DCNE in the New England mechanical engineering community. They will develop close, professional relationships with designers and project managers at consulting firms by acting as a resource for in-depth product application knowledge, equipment recommendations & selections, and assisting in the specification of products. The CSE will gather insights into changing market conditions, participate in trade organizations, and prepare seminars as necessary to educate engineering customers and the DCNE team on current industry topics and equipment offerings that meet their needs. Additionally, the CSE works cooperatively with DCNE’s sales force in the promotion and application of all products we represent.
Job Responsibilities:

· Provide accurate assistance in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner.
· Master existing software systems for the selection and quoting of HVAC equipment.
· Engage engineering customers with relevant industry news and product information in person and through various media platforms.
· Develop tools to promote the specification of Carrier equipment by engineering clients.
· Assist with project data acquisition and tracking initiatives.
· Contribute business experience, product/industry knowledge, and customer feedback to encourage growth of team members.
· Manage time effectively to provide the level of attention desired from each engineering partner.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or similar discipline.
· Passion for creative problem-solving and a strong customer service mindset.
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products - foremost Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
Additional Qualifications of Interest:
· CEM, LEED AP/GA, EIT or PE.
· Knowledge of current HVAC design trends and energy codes.
· Training in emotional intelligence/EQ.
· Ability to sell us on a skill not listed here.'
