Kabayan Capital (Canada) Inc, also trading as Kabayan Remit, is based in Toronto and provides an online remittance service to the Philippines with funding to beneficiaries in minutes. Kabayan Remit operates nationwide in Canada, including Quebec, and has been trading since 2017. The Kabayan Group processes circa 1,000,000 transactions per annum with a value of USD 500 million+
Kabayan Capital (USA) LLC is based in Irvine, California and the Kabayan Remit service will be launched in the US in late 2023.
Job Summary
- The Sales Executive is a direct report to the Business Development Manager.
- This role will focus on the implementation of effective sales techniques to maximise new business generation as well as participating in programmes to increase existing customer retention.
- The position will be based at the Kabayan Remit Office in Irvine, California but frequent nationwide travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the Sales Plan to deliver new business in USA in line with company targets.
- Attend community marketing events to generate new sales leads and manage the leads through conversion to active remitting customers.
- To build a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities, reviewing sales projections and making sales strategies, in line with the company’s overall business plan.
- Assist in building relationships with Community leaders and Associations to develop a network of groups supportive to Kabayan Remit who will promote the remittance service to their members.
- Assist in developing partnership programmes to maximise new business referrals from customers and other businesses in the Filipino community.
- Assist in developing existing customer referral and retention programmes.
- Assist the BDM in tracking sales data and creating reports to improve performance.
Skills Required
- Fluency in English and Tagalog essential
- Full valid US driving license essential
- Excel user skills
- 0-5 years experience in Customer Services and/or Sales and Marketing
- Ideally, experience in the money remittance / online consumer payments sector with a demonstrable ability to be commercially driven in a highly competitive market.
- Sales and marketing, relationship building and relationship management skills
- Self- starter able to generate solutions to business issues on own initiative as well as working effectively as part of a team.
- Have the drive to increase sales volume and deliver against challenging volume targets.
- Legal right to live and work in the US with no restrictions.
