Opportunities for advancement are very present. The company is pretty admirable in that category, if you work hard and smart you WILL get your shot at moving up. You have to have good character and a strong resolve though, you will be tested on that. Honestly, management is pretty good. My District Managers that I had during my stay (2) were both adept salesmen with a laser focus on their goals and the concrete actions required from everybody needed to meet them. Lastly, the compensation was very nice though benefits were nonexistent but who cares.
The product that you have to sell itself is bottom line inferior (Sprint). It's getting better though, so be prepared to make that your main selling point during your entire time there. Work life balance is nonexistent if you want to be the best sales representative in my opinion, its kind of worth it but it's not easy (and unhealthy). The company culture is Indian from the top-down and while there is blatant nepotism, everybody that's hired as a result of just being Indian is still competent and professional.
Advice to Management
Find a way to make sure representatives and managers get healthier nutrition though, somehow, just do it. Everybody gets out of shape once they start working here and loses their figure for a reason. It's probably the main morale killer at work, getting out of shape because you overeat to compensate for the long durations you go without eating anything while making sales or operating the store. Protein bars would do wonders for health and would be a good investment. It doesn't seem like it matters but it does. People buy from people they like, and part of that attraction is purely physical. Maybe I'm just overly vain though -__-
