The Behavioral Health Program Manager is responsible for providing management and oversight of the Transgender Center of the Rockies (TCR). The Behavioral Health Program Manager will oversee the development and implementation of high quality clinical and support services to clients of the TCR and will coordinate all activities. The Behavioral Health Program Manager will ensure that all services are evidence-based, trauma-informed, and affirming. This position will report to the Director of Public Health and Community Engagement.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Clinical Services:
· Oversee all clinical client services
· Create and implement Behavioral Health services using evidenced based curriculum
· Ensure clinical services and clinical documentation are compliant with the Behavioral Health Administration, Department of Regulatory Agencies, and funder rules and regulations
· Use of the Electronic Health Record to maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with Medicaid, private insurance and the Behavioral Health Administrative Service organizations (BHASO)’s standards in all areas including, but not limited to: admission summaries, assessments, daily charting, weekly clinical staffing notes, and discharge summaries within the agency adhering to mandatory deadlines
· Audit of team’s clinical documentation to ensure timeliness of completed documentation and ensure the work meets the agency Quality Standards
· Support staff in maintaining weekly relationships of active caseload case management support for benchmarked billable services
· Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
· Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff
· Understanding of WPATH standards of care and experience writing letters
Staff Management:
Community Partnerships:
· Work in tandem with MHBHC’s Denver Element program to support continuum of care needs for LGBTQ+ populations
· Partner with all MHBHC entities: Comitis Crisis Center, Colfax Community Network, and the Family Preservation Center for coordination of services
· Work with the MHBHC Board of Directors sub-committee to develop community trainings on transgender and gender nonbinary behavioral health issues
· Work with other community partners to develop affirming community referrals for clients
· Attend outreach events promoting TCR and MHBHC services to target communities
Development and Operations:
· Provide MHBHC development staff with client-outcome data and other information needed for funding applications
· Continue to seek funding opportunities to expand services
QUALIFICATIONS:
· At least three years of successful staff and program management experience
· Experience developing and maintaining partnerships with multiple stakeholders and organizations/agencies
· At least three years of experience working with transgender and gender nonbinary populations
· Training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, and vicarious trauma
· Excellent communication and computer skills
· Master’s degree in relevant field such as Sociology or Psychology or PhD
· Colorado licensure such as LPC or LCSW
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Understanding of behavioral health and homelessness services particularly with transgender and gender expansive populations
· Some travel (within Denver Metro) and occasional weekend work
· Good rapport with the client population
· Demonstrated ability to constructively work with persons in crisis situations
· Demonstrated leadership skills
