OXARC, a regional leader in industrial gas and welding supply distribution, is seeking an EHS Manager/Environmental, Health, & Safety to join the team at their Pasco, WA branch.
If you have your degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or similar discipline OR at least 2 years of safety experience or combination of education and experience, and 2 years of management or supervisory experience, OXARC wants to hear from you!

Requirements:
- Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or similar discipline or at least two years of safety experience or combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of PSM/RMP programs
- Knowledge of Tier 2 and Pesticide reporting
- 2 years management or supervisory experience
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
- Must pass drug screen and background check
Essential duties/responsibilities:
- Manage, write, develop, train and enforce safety policies and procedures (Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Inspects facilities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections
- Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company
- Create and manage Accident Prevention Plan
- OSHA compliance
- Safety Plan
- Job Safety Analysis
- Stay up to date on all changes to regulations regarding safety standards for all lines of business
- Maintain OSHA 300 log
- Investigate and manage accident and injury claims
- Mange employee’s medical treatment, therapy or treatment and release
- Ensure process and treatment provide employee all the necessary care
- Mitigate company recordable accident and workers compensation claims exposure
- Write Light Duty Job Descriptions
- Maintain safety related data, analyze data for trends and patterns, report to management on results of analysis and plans/recommendations for improvement/changes to SOP’s
- Participates in the investigation, documentation and follow-up of all near misses and accidents
- Maintains frequent communication with leadership about accidents, injuries and near misses
- Provide and maintain an effective employee feedback system to provide continuous suggestions and input from employees related training and operating duties
