Lead Security Systems Technician – Fire Alarm Capable ($45–60/hr, Stoughton MA)

BBS Tech is a privately owned fire alarm and security integrator on the South Shore. We preprogram and prefab in our Stoughton shop so installs go cleaner, faster, and with fewer callbacks.

This is a lead role. You’ll own jobs in the field — scope, schedule, and customer relationship — across integrated fire alarm and security systems.

What you'd be doing:

• Leading install, programming, and commissioning on commercial security systems (Lenel, Avigilon, Mercury, Bosch, Hanwha, Aiphone).
• Running jobs end-to-end with a small crew. Owning scope, schedule, and the customer relationship on site.
• Being the on-site point of contact for the GC, owner, or AHJ, as necessary.
• Crossing over to fire alarm panels (Edwards/EST primarily) for troubleshooting, programming support, and final acceptance testing.
• Mentoring apprentices and helpers. We value people who can teach.

What you bring:

• 7+ years in low-voltage security or life safety installation and service.
• Strong programming background on at least 2 of: Lenel/S2, Avigilon, Brivo, Mercury, Bosch, Hanwha, Axis, Aiphone, 2N.
• Comfortable on a fire alarm panel (Edwards/EST, Notifier, Simplex, or Silent Knight).
• Massachusetts Class D Systems Technician license (or able to obtain). We'll support the path
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
• Real communication skills. You are able to write a clean field report, clearly defining what is required to complete any uncompleted scope or if a scope is complete.

Bonus points:

• Factory certifications — Edwards, Lenel, Avigilon, or Genetec
• NICET certification (any level) in fire alarm systems
• Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or Visio drawing skills
• Past leadership of a small crew (2-4 people)

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
