A bit about the agency

A bit about the team/department
The McCann design team is made up of designers with various skills from various design backgrounds, we share a passion for design and design trends. We are a close team who strive for creative excellence. We have a reputation to push the boundaries where we can and challenge ourselves and our clients. Design is integral to advertising projects as well as stand-alone branding projects, the work is diverse, one day you could be setting titles and the next creating work for the latest Just Eat campaign. Every brand that McCann London partners with touches design at some stage, clients include, Xbox, Just Eat, Chivas, SKY, Dettol, Nurofen, Birdseye to name a few. We work closely with creative teams and other disciplines across the agency and our network.
A bit about the role
As a Design Director at McCann London, the role is very much hands-on, it is a client facing role, presentation skills and presentation building are an important skill needed. You will lead pitches and client projects ensuring the most creative solutions are delivered on time and within budget. You will work with various disciplines within the agency, including strategy, being able to translate strategy into creative solutions is a key part of the role. Working with creative teams to enhance the ideas visually, working with production to ensure the end result is perfect.
Understanding media touchpoints is required, we do everything from traditional print OOH to social campaigns. Animation skills, even light of touch would be good, but not mandatory.
Understanding design trends and knowledge of photographers, illustrators and motion design is a must.
