    The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at ADP (Louisville, KY) in June 2022.

    Interview

    I received a call for interview. The interview coordinator scheduled my first interview within 3-4 days with their technical staff panel. It was excellent discussion with their staff and around an hour and few additional minutes discussion with them. They asked questions in different DevOps tools technologies used in ADP and related process. They were satisfied with all the answers and told me that interview coordinator will confirm you for next step.

    I was keep following interview coordinator for 2 days for next step to schedule the next round if they find me eligible. I had very handsome offer letter from other company but my priority was ADP because of remote work opportunity. Finally I got a call from her after 48 hours and got very good positive feedback about round one. She told me next round will be behavioral questions over your technical skills by hiring manager. She scheduled my interview for next 3-4 days because of unavailability of HM. During this period I had to reject the first offer letter because it was urgent position.

    HM took my second round interview, explained my last 16 years experience journey in which 12 years dedicated to DevOps area for one of the biggest healthcare insurance company in USA. Explained all the tools and technologies used in 12 years. Answered all the behavioral questions answer as per best of my knowledge and experience. At last he rejected my profile because I don’t know few Linux commands and related concepts. I was surprised that in last 16 years I learned so many tools and technologies at my workplace and used successfully for organizations many solutions we designed from scratch and approved by customer. How few Linux fundamentals can be reason of rejection.

    It was very bad experience with ADP HM and delay in interview process. If HM has to evaluate technical skills why first round not conducted with him. Why their technical panel not instructed to check Linux fundamentals. Due to this delay I lost of my first offer letter because I was under impression that first detailed technical round went well.

    ADP should not waste time of candidates and improve their interview process.
