I have been working at Alcoa as a contractor (Less than a year)
The people I interact with are generally happy and helpful. They genuinely seem to like working here. I don't hear grumbling and complaining about the company, even in the face of a major event like splitting into two companies (Arconic and Alcoa).
Understanding who you should be in contact for help with certain items can be confusing. There are also strange divisions of responsibilities within their IT structure. For example, the group that manages servers may not necessarily manage accounts on the servers.
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work on managing the culture, it makes working here enjoyable. Add some clarity to roles and responsibilities in the IT group.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Alcoa (Alcoa, TN) in April 2016.
My recruiter found my resume on a job site and gauged my interest. I sent him an updated resume and he contacted the client. They wanted to meet me and I interviewed that day. It was very positive. Pending a drug screen and background check, they were going to make up their minds. I am not sure how many people applied or sat for an interview. I had no problems with the screen and background check and I was offered the job, which I accepted.
