Employees rate Laguna Woods 29.4% lower than the overall average
I worked at Amada Senior Care part-time (Less than a year)
Highest pay rate from a home care based company
Good on boarding process
Higher standards and more professionalism than most home care companies
Home care (in general) = sucky job
Bi weekly pay
Lack of communication and disconnect between staff and employees in the field
Your well being is not a priority
Nearly impossible to build a stable schedule
Advertised as full-time/ part-time but this is a PIER DIEM JOB.
Advice to Management
Don’t let them rope you in with their speech about the company’s values and how appreciated you are for what you do - after orientation, your job here will be the same as it would be in any home care company - sucky. If you have no other choice, Amada is a decent company to work for because their pay is the best and staff is personable for the most part. I still would not recommend it and wouldn’t go back. It’s not worth it.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amada Senior Care (Laguna Woods, CA).
Interview was very straightforward. They want to get to know your skills, personality, and your intentions of being a caregiver. Also asks for availability. Staff at Amada Senior Care are super friendly and caring!
