    I have been working at American Red Cross full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good wages. Good managers for the IT department. High class work environment. Good benefits - PTO, Floating Holidays (4/yr), 6 Core holidays, 100% match on up to 4% of pay contribution to 401K/IRA

    Cons

    With such a large organization still being non-profit, it seems that there a lot of departments that can be spread thin many times. This is no fault of the organization itself. I imagine it is very difficult to retain well trained employees on a non-profit organizations payscale
