I worked at Apex Systems full-time (More than a year)
Worked as a consultant to a client. Apex finds great unique opportunities to work on long and short-term contract and contract-to-hire basis. They do well to work with the end client to assure you are right for the interview process and not waste your time. They do have some (fairly pricey) benefits, but benefits nonetheless.
If you require high maintenance, this is not the place. People are great but very busy and expect you to manage to your fullest capacities.
Advice to Management
Need to adopt innovation and digital technologies throughout the portfolio of your business...especially in the recruitment activities. Clients still appreciate the relational part, but want to see Apex raise to be on par with your competitors or online options to maintain your growth and value prop.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Apex Systems (Houston, TX) in August 2017.
Everything was done very quickly, first were phone interviews, then a few days later an in person. Job offer later that day. Answers were straight forward, "tell me about a time when..." type questions.
