I worked at Arnold as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing experience through and through! Was able to see the ins and outs of an Advertising Agency. The team I worked with treated me as if I was a real account manager which allowed me to gain real insight into the position, client and all things "account" related. The intern project was also a great learning experience - we developed a full 360 campaign for a well known brand and had to present at the conclusion of the program. Needless to say, I was sad to leave!

    Cons

Unpaid internship however that is to be expected within the industry.

    Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Arnold (New York, NY) in March 2010.

    Interview

On-campus recruiting, was one of twelve candidates that one of the alums in the company met with. He was a great guy, seemed really accessible and passionate about his work, emphasized the collegial atmosphere of the company and the lack of competition or separation between creative and account managers. Overall, I felt that the interview was laid-back, gauged to know the candidate better, but I was really surprised that I wasn't asked back so I can only imagine that they were looking for someone with solid internship experience with an marketing/advertising agency.
