I have been working at Ashley Furniture full-time (More than a year)
Working at Ashley, you're working for a respected leader in the furniture industry. So many retailers carry Ashley Furniture, and our own retail stores are located all over the country and now globally dispersed as well.
I work at the office in Ybor and the building is very cool, and everyone here is a top performer, often coming in from other big companies. You can rest assured that the people you interact with are very skilled and can learn a lot from them.
My management team is excellent, and part of the reason I love my job so much. It's clear that even though this is a 40 year old company and still family-owned, they are making a lot of strides to be progressive and update and modernize the workplace.
Sometimes there is an old-school manufacturing "seats in the chair" mentality. Working from home isn't really seen as a viable option, even though we are becoming more of a "tech company". This is something I see changing, although slowly.
The benefits are competitive but nothing spectacular. 401K matching and better healthcare could do wonders.
Advice to Management
Look into work from home options to attract and retain top talent. Explore better benefits to really help with company morale. Keep up the great work!

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Ashley Furniture (Tampa, FL) in September 2015.
Very smooth. First interview was a screening from HR, second was phone interview with manager, and director of my department. After the second interview I met with my manager locally for a face to face. The final interview was with our CIO which was more of a welcome to the company. HR was extremely honest throughout the process and I appreciated them keeping me constantly informed of the next steps. The phone and in person interviews were very similar and very position description concentric. It mainly consisted of discussing my work history and skills that pertained to the open position. They made for a very friendly and comfortable environment to interview in.
