I worked at Avalon Health Care full-time (More than a year)
-the staff is not huge, so you get to know all your coworkers and feel like a team.
-the management at the time (it's since changed) was good, and cared about their employees.
-the facility was consistently understaffed.
-the benefits aren't great
Advice to Management
While things like patient dignity were always talked about at monthly meetings, some employees treated patients with very little dignity, and management didn't take that seriously or create a safe environment where little things that are not okay in day to day interactions with patients could be reported. (Things that shouldn't be reported to the hotline, but need to be addressed. For example laughing at a patient in their presence and calling others to see how funny the patient is being)
