If you want to be an instructor and train people all day, its hard to beat. I don't think it is possible to find a better paid teaching job.
You also get to work with some outstanding, very impressive people both on the Navy side and civilian side.
Pay is very good in the operations training program, especially when you are on shift work. Promotions come very regularly in this program as well.
Job security can't be beat!
Get several weeks of vacation per year and we are actually encouraged to use it all.

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bechtel Marine Propulsion (Charleston, SC) in April 2014.
I submitted my resume through my college's recruiting website and received an email a few days later requesting a phone interview. The interview had a couple of straightforward screening questions. At the end of the phone interview, I was asked to come in for an in person interview, which consisted of two half hour interviews with managers. The questions were typical behavioral questions.
