    Pros

The work is very low stress. They have competitive pay and benefits. HR works to accommodate skills and preferences in looking for jobs.

    Cons

Being a government facility there are a lot of limitations in the scope of work. There are a lot of defined processes and regulations to follow, which can often become frustrating.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bechtel Marine Propulsion (Idaho Falls, ID) in January 2015.

    Interview

The interview process was very laid back. Living from far away they paid for a flight to their facilities and I was able to walk around their facilities for the day. My direct supervisor I was able to spend the entire day with him. In that time we got to know each other pretty well. Very little was talked about if I was qualified for the job or not, rather it was just casual conversations about our lives and the company.

    Interview Questions

    • At the end of the day he asked what I particularly liked about the company? What I didn't like? What my opinion was if I wanted to work their or not? He was very open throughout the entire day. Was a stress free "interview"   1 Answer
