    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at CBS Interactive (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in April 2012.

    Interview

The interview consisted of 2 phone interviews. The first phone interview was conducted by the hiring manager and lasted for about 20 mins. It was a very superficial technical interview and other general small talk. After about 2 weeks and not having heard from them, I followed up with an email to the hiring manager and then the hiring manager replies he is still shortlisting candidates for the second interview and sets me up for a second technical interview. The second technical interview was conducted by a senior engineer and again lasted about 20 mins consisted of relatively basic questions.
They did not respond for another 2 weeks and after following up with them for the second time, they reply saying they could not offer me the job. Both the interviews were courteous and friendly but not responding with a decision was a turn off.
