Employees rate San Francisco 0.9% higher than the overall average
I have been working at CBS Interactive full-time (More than 3 years)
Newly remodeled offices, respect & support for work-life balance, a high(er than usual) percentage of women leading technology teams, super supportive & involved HR team, company is constantly trying to improve its offerings in the market.
Long history of acquisitions creates some natural tension between business units and brands within the company: the need for autonomy, speed, & differentiation is constantly negotiating with the the need for shared resources and cohesive strategy.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CBS Interactive (San Francisco, CA) in December 2009.
I had phone interview at first. Then I got a follow up with one and one interview. The manager did called all my references to verify. I then got schedule for an interview. It was almost 5 hours. Got interviewed by the Director of Software Engineering, QA team and QA manager. They asked about how would I test a glass, an apple, Java questions and SQL questions.
