Tremendous resources available to both associates and clients ( support, training, facilities...all first class). I loved the ability to "own" your territory and given the trust and responsibility to do so. With a sustained track record of success, new doors and opportunities can be available.
If working in the field, territories can been very challenging geographically, in my case as a Solution Consultant (for Finance and Insurance) I had to cover 9 states which after a few years can be very challenging. All the travel time added up in any given year can be draining at times.
Advice to Management
I would urge the Management Team to consider few account reps per location. In many cases, there are just to many "sales associates" per account. On a large account, there could be 10 reps (inside, field, consulting, digital, ..........) it can very challenging to form a strong and meaningful relationship with your client as to compete for "shelf space" with all your own lads.....
