    Pros

The people are enthusiastic about helping patients, as well as the innovation that their research requires. The SF site especially has a small startup feel, with the benefits of a larger company

    Cons

For most people, the commute is pretty time consuming.

    Advice to Management

Improve the tech used for teleconferences. Also, make the contracting process more efficient - a lot of people feel like they are spread out too thin across multiple projects

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Celgene (San Francisco, CA).

    Interview

Submitted CV and cover letter to Senior Scientist email directly. Received a call in a few days and had a phone interview for 1 hour. The interview was supposed to be 30 minutes, but the interviewer had lots of questions! Offered an in-person interview within the next week. Meet with about 5 other people and had to give a 1 hour presentation on my graduate research. Also was quiz on two research papers that was related to the research done at the company. Those papers were selected by the interviewer. Many many questions!!

    Interview Questions

    • Why did it take you so long to finish you BA? Referring to the research paper I read, what is the strength of this research paper? Also many detailed questions on my research presentation.   Answer Question

    Reasons for Declining

Had a better offer from another company.
