    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Centrica (Calgary, AB (Canada)) in December 2014.

    Interview

After learning from a past project manager I enjoyed working for that his current company was hiring for this role, I provided him my resume to submit directly. Within a month, HR called to request an interview after an employee referral... I had a 30 minute interview with the VP of Supply Chain Management. He asked mostly company culture questions to get a sense of whether I would be a good fit for the corporate culture and his team. After the interview I received an offer letter within the week.

    Interview Questions

    • What would say gave you the greatest satisfaction in your last role?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

After the offer letter was received, I followed up with a counter offer, based on shared risk taking by the company and myself. HR forwarded my response to the VP of supply chain, and he responded with a break down of the benefits package which would actually exceed my counter offer on a performance basis. I then accepted the offer.
