I worked at Cerner (More than a year)
Cerner strives to be the best in the business. Upper management appears to be open about communication. Main headquarters in KC appears to have several amenities like a clinic, gym, etc to help employees keep a work-life balance.
Although the company is an EHR leader and promotes a healthy lifestyle, health insurance isn't the best and premiums are high. Salaries are generally lower than other industries. There is a form of ageism with a large visible move to mainly higher lower level inexperienced new graduates. For specifically the Malvern Pa campus, the direction is always in question which is forcing experienced employees to leave the company. There are double standards for non-productive employees and they are rewarded for doing very little while extremely productive employees are rewarded with more work.
Advice to Management
KC upper management needs to take a close look at the management in Malvern and needs to know what goes on at the ground level. Management in Malvern should learn conflict management techniques and start getting ahead of the industry instead of chasing it and making reactive decisions.
