I worked at College Board as a contractor (Less than a year)
Amazing benefits, employee perks and great location. Awesome opportunity to work with the latest technologies and be apart of a growing organization.
Probationary period is sort of long (6-months) most places it's 90 days. Lengthy interview process however it leads to very satisfying results if done well for the candidates, and after you complete the probationary period it is very satisfying in terms of benefits :)
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work, progress is not easy and it takes time to perfect a process.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at College Board (Reston, VA) in April 2010.
Hiring manager called and set up a phone interview with the department manager. Spoke with the dept manager about the projects we would be working on and my background (30 min phone call) and received an offer the next day.
