I have been working at DIRTT full-time (Less than a year)
Modern, refreshing, environmentally responsible, ambitious, strategic company. The culture is so REFRESHING from that which is conservative, play-it-safe, "do it how we always do it" Calgary. They also love to hear feedback, and always are setting initiatives in place to answer the question - how can we improve our processes, asking everyone in the chain. They actually solicit our opinions on what needs to be improved.
Aside from the amazing culture and perks, still feels like just a "job". Still have to work hard, if not harder.
Advice to Management
Mindset is very european - love it. Pay is a little low, that is okay when you love your company. I have to admit I'd really prefer days off or more of a flexible work day in lieu of high pay. Loving your job, time and flexibility is worth so much more than good pay. I can't speak for everyone but with the flat structure, it feels like you answer to your peers, and sometimes the collective group (or subtleties implied) feel less forgiving than an actual boss. E.g. when working from home, adjusting your work schedule. Despite feeling modern, and european (e.g. taking care of us via lunches daily) - the days feel long, and work:life balance feels a bit out of reach.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at DIRTT (Calgary, AB (Canada)) in February 2017.
Interview needs to be creative such as a video. Then you have a phone interview, and a face to face in which you re quizzed in construction and design knowledge. Asked about my current role and if I could demonstrate the technology to him.
