    Pros

Awesome studio! They were very accommodating with my school schedule, which is very hard to find with busy, fast-paced companies. Everything was very professional, meaning I knew exactly when my internship was ending. They even gave me a gift on my last day! Everyone was great and I got a lot of advice and experience working for this company. As an student, it is difficult to find paid internships, but they were very generous with compensation.

    Cons

I don't have anything bad to say about DWR!

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Design Within Reach (Scottsdale, AZ) in February 2013.

    Interview

I noticed that DWR was hiring for an intern position, so I went to the studio, unexpectedly, to drop off my resume. The studio proprietor was kind enough to take the time and talk with me. I showed them my portfolio, along with a variety of projects I have done. I was then given a really nice tour of the studio. I was called around 2 weeks later with an offer for the position. They were willing to be accommodating with my full-time school schedule, which was amazing!
