    I worked at E. & J. Gallo Winery full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The internship was an incredible, hands-on, and engaging experience. Although it was a virtual internship for the majority of the position due to the pandemic, the way Gallo quickly adapted and restructured their entire internship as quickly as they did speaks volumes to the company's resilience.

    Cons

    None to report, only positives.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at E. & J. Gallo Winery (Hayward, CA) in September 2019.

    Interview

So many b.s. levels to get to the last onsite interview at the Hayward distribution only for the dinosaur old man to forget that I was waiting in the lobby for an hour. Then coming back in the afternoon and going through a 2 hour interview process describing my qualifications with the same 2 dinosaurs to tell me that they do not have the knowledge of basic accounting lingo. They are both in the roles and did not understand the words revenue, DSO calculation, and gross margins. Basic accounting 101 lingo but I'm sure these old fashion cavemen reached their positions from longevity and not educational knowledge.
