I have been working at Electronic Arts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Employees have a wide freedom to manage their own workload and feedback is welcomed!
Having a 'welcome buddy' to help onboarding helps speed up the process and to learn some shortcuts.
Try and error is accepted, and people are strongly encouraged to ask questions whenever they want - open door police.

    Cons

Couldn't find any. All I needed on my onboarding I was provided.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! Game On is a great tool to help onboarding new hires.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Electronic Arts (Burnaby, BC (Canada)) in April 2018.

    Interview

2 Technical Phone Calls plus white boarding on Collabedit with Managers , choose a language of your choice and your given 1 task each with sub tasks. One locally the other from San Francisco

4 Hour Technical Interview at the EA Burnaby Campus with 5 people.

Started with a Collabedit coding excercise with a remote manager in a language of your choice.

Another round with 2 engineers on the team on a range of JS web development questions including basic architecture questions for a given use case.

Another round with 2 senior engineers on backend concepts and MYSQL questions

Final round was with the Team lead who just asked basic personality questions.

Overall the people are really really nice and are really smart too. I didnt get the job but the process was enlightening
