Employees rate Covington 19.1% lower than the overall average
I worked at Fred Meyer part-time (More than a year)
I loved getting to know the customers. Also, you get paid really well and get medical which was awesome. Making coffee was also pretty easy.
A lot of the time in the evening shift you were alone. So if you got busy, you had to handle a lot of people by yourself. Also, being alone it was hard to take a break because we were told that the coffee bar can not be left alone.
Advice to Management
Pay more attention to the employees in the coffee bar.

I applied online. I interviewed at Fred Meyer (Covington, WA) in August 2011.
Apply online and receive a callback. Was interviewed by the HR Department head. She was very friendly and outlined the available positions. Very professional. She told me that she was going on a vacation so she could expect to hear back from me in a week or two. After that I was interviewed by the department head of cashiering. Basically the same as the first interview but was much more personal and specialized. Later that day she called me back and offered me the job.
Non-negotiation. $9.50 an hour.
