I worked at Fred Meyer part-time (More than 3 years)
Lots of friendly employees, cheap health insurance, union, always were willing to give more hours.
Management could be pretty hit or miss sometimes. Some managers were really nice while others were always incredibly rude and condescending to employees. Particularly new managers. Lazy coworkers meant I had to do twice the work in some cases.
Advice to Management
I'm not sure if it is still the case now, but when I was working there management wouldn't pay attention to the hard work or lack thereof (some employees were able to skate by with no effort for a long time before being let go) of the parcel clerks and would often treat us as lazy even if we were busting our butts.
