InterviewWent through two rounds of the interview process,
Week 1 - Interview 1 : With the Hiring Manager
Week 2 - Interview 2: Product Presentation & Demo to a Panel of 3, Roleplay as the CEO, CIO & Sales Director of a prospective customer.
Both of these interview rounds were very interesting, especially the Demo round, where I was given 5 days and a stock slide deck+info pack to build a presentation + Demo of the Freshworks CRM, Freshdesk product instances to the prospective customers.
The panel was shooting me questions on the product left, right, and center and I believe my objection handling capabilities were being assessed, however, a few of the questions and the consecutive handling of those were very technical for someone who only had a few days to get up to speed with the product even though they did mention they were not looking for a product expert while scheduling this interview.
Overall, I loved the challenge and I believe I built an amazing presentation deck and customised the Freshworks CRM + Freshdesk instance for the prospective customer and handled the customer objections throughout the demo well.
However, the negatives that dragged the experience down was the initial and final interaction I've had with HR, starting with the initial vague email response and the regret email notifying rejection in a one-liner - "Unfortunately, our team did not select you for further consideration due to fitment mismatch for the requirement basis competency."
I had to reach out to HR for further meaningful feedback as I had dedicated a whole week towards preparing for this interview but met with the same responses that could have done better with empathy.Interview
