I have been working at GE Power full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

GE is a Global brand. It has always been very prestigious to work for company like GE and to get promoted is like adding a feather to your cap. Moreover if you are carrying an electric background with you, you feel more associated and proud with terms like General Electric and Power.

    Cons

For the HVDC department in Noida that I am working for requires interaction with Grid team in UK for project delivery. Since team in UK is the lead team, and also responsible for R&D in system engineering and controls we need to wait for them to reach to some conclusion however this leads to delay in project delivery.

    Advice to Management

If system and controls R&D is also opened in or Noida office other than project delivery as an arm of UK office then this team will be useful in providing on the spot solutions to Noida project delivery team and this might lead to less dependency and faster project delivery from Noida
