    Pros

GNE offers a meaningful career. Its a company that takes its people as number one factor for success, for that reason, management focus on helping employees to the fullest, helping them grow as individuals and as employees.

    Cons

Some favoritism has been identified in the past. Some employees have been promoted without deserving a promotion. Also people with most experience were let go in 2018.

    Advice to Management

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Genentech (Oceanside, CA) in March 2015.

    Interview

It was awesome. I spoke with the hiring manager about the overall system I would be working with. Asked him about the project. He asked me about my background and experience. It was informal and it was a great match. I did a bunch of research prior to the interview and that really allowed me to ask the right questions. The hiring manager was also a really cool and laid back person which made the whole thing flow very smoothly.
