    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Grab (Bengaluru (India)) in January 2021.

    Interview

    1. codility test was first round. It consisted 3 coding questions which had to be solved in 180 mins. I scored more than 90/100
    2. two back to back tech interviews an hour each

    Interview Questions

    • 1. First round i was interviewed by a junior engineer who was engaging and amiable but wanted solutions to the problems in a certain way. one lc medium and one hard was asked and i produced working code. find max among ancestor and node in binary tree and merge n sorted list.
      2. System design round was on facebook messenger. The interviewer clearly lacked experience to conduct SD rounds. Nevertheless i felt i went in the right direction as this is a popular topic for high level SD and i was prepared well for this topic.
Received an automated rejection email same night from Grab and i had to confirm with the recruiter that it was for the same position. Very unprofessional behavior from the HR as i don't even know the reason for rejection.   1 Answer
