Employees rate Houston 12.3% lower than the overall average
I have been working at Grant Thornton full-time (More than 3 years)
Friendly and low expectations as compared to Big 4. Great client base and great opportunities. Strong Industry quals
Top performers will get frustrated quickly. Very risk adverse and not quick to change.
Advice to Management
Pay for performance is not a key focus.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Houston, TX) in March 2013.
The process was typical of a public accounting firm interview. Since I found the job on my schools job board, it was held on campus. There was a pre-interview dinner, and they made sure that I knew who I was interviewing with at that time so I could meet the interviewer before the interview. The whole interview was behavioral, with no technical questions.
