Advice to Management
I worked at Gravitational Marketing full time for almost a year and a half on the client services, or ESP team as an Account Specialist in the Guardians pod. While I was here I learned how to work in a fast-paced agency setting and learned many other industry skills that I am able to take with me wherever I go. I had two fantastic leaders, Rich and Gina, who support their employees and encourage them to do better and develop themselves. I felt inclined to write this review when I noticed a previous reviewer seemed to have a similar story as mine, but I feel much differently about this company than they do.
Every week at GM we have weekly development meetings with our direct supervisor where we worked on a specific action item over the next month. I looked forward to these meetings every week as they allowed me to develop skills and vent any frustrations I had. During these meetings, I felt like I was heard, understood, and guided to the appropriate next steps.
As far as my client services team, I worked alongside two fantastic people who were not only great workers, but experts at their jobs. The entire team had meetings together multiple times a week, and while sometimes meetings get tense, ultimately I think these were necessary to get everyone on the same page. Overall, the majority of the team was fantastic to work with and made coming to work everyday fun.
Not only do they work hard at GM, they also know how to celebrate. It seems like almost every week there is a fun event going on which is a nice reprieve from work and always a great time.
Leaving this company was a difficult decision for me, but ultimately one that came down to not simply monetary reasons, but promotional as well. Overall I will take the philosophy of ESP with me wherever I go and try to keep my life as enjoyable, simple and prosperous as it was during my time there.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gravitational Marketing (Orlando, FL) in August 2019.
Had a phone interview with Gina, and then a week later had an in person interview with Gina and another man, who's name I do not remember. I felt that the interview went well.
After the interview was done, they left me to finish my paperwork. As soon as the door to the interview room shut, I heard the two of them say "HELL NO!" to each other. I tried to brush it off, maybe it was in response to something totally different?
I spent the next 20 minutes filling out their extensive paperwork- and once I was done, I asked the secretary Laurie when I would hear back. "Oh, they didn't schedule you for a trial day....?" which made it painfully obvious it was a no.
I'm not bitter about not getting the job. Really. It was a blessing, because now I have a new job I LOVE with a significantly higher glassdoor rating. I just find it extremely unprofessional that they could barely wait till the door was shut to gossip about me.
To top it off, I am now reading here from employees/ex emplyoees that it's very common for management to gossip about everyone, employees, interviewees, etc. So I have no doubt that is what happened.
