I have been working at Green Chimneys as an intern (Less than a year)
Excellent, comprehensive training, quality supervision, broad range of experiences with the ability to seek out further training opportunities as desired. Interesting, engaging clients and families.
Really very few. It has to be what someone is looking for in an internship (e.g., a residential program), but it certainly delivers. It is difficult to live in the expensive area on an intern’s salary, but that is specific to the field and area and training, not the position.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Green Chimneys (Brewster, NY) in April 2018.
Came in for a job fair, I interviewed with two people. They called me back to come in again for a superior position. Came in again, interviewed with another person. They showed me around campus and introduced me to other Assistant Unit Supervisors for any questions that I had. They showed me some dorms and had me interact with residents.
