I have been working at Infinitive full-time (More than a year)
I love working for Infinitive. There's been change over the last year, but this is what happens when companies grow. I believe the core values are standing strong through the changes. At the end of the day every job has a performance aspect and as an employee it's your responsibility to ask for feedback, aspire to grow yourself, and take advantage of opportunities that you're given. I believe Infinitive sets employees up for success and any time I've ever brought up a concern leadership goes out of their way to address it. I have everything they told me I would have during the interview process including flexibility.
I can see how the flat structure can be frustrating and hard to know how you're progressing and what you're progressing to. However, it's also a way to take control and create your own career path it's not an out or up structure and you're not stuck doing one thing.
Advice to Management
It's admirable that our leadership is transparent. They acknowledge they're not experts in everything (reason for bringing in new/outside leadership) and strategies that worked previously aren't going to get them to the next level. Keep implementing employee feedback and make sure that if there's performance issues it's being addressed. I'm thankful that Infinitive encourages growth and that there's a variety of opportunities.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Infinitive (Ashburn, VA) in November 2009.
Phone interview; nice; not too thorough - screening
