Employees rate New York 7% higher than the overall average
I have been working at Information Builders full-time (More than 10 years)
I joined in the mid 90s, left in 2007 and then came back 4 years later... why? Because I found that the grass isn't greener somewhere else. The company has just completed a transition of senior leadership and everyone is excited about our 2019 plans from sales to product to support. We have dynamic, innovative customers who partner with us on both the sales and product sides. You don't find these relationships among our competitors. The product is well along an exciting transformation with a talented team that is expanding. The new leadership is exceptional and communicates regularly to the entire company through town halls. I love working with these people which is the main reason I returned to the company. The BI and data analytics industry is also very exciting and a great place to expand and grow in your career. Get in while you can during our growth phase.
The company headquarters is in a great location in a world class city, but its getting a bit dated. There are rumors of a move nearby but it really doesn't matter. Would like to see more name recognition.
Advice to Management
Continue hiring top talent, recognize the stars. Sales kickoff was the best I've seen this year.
I applied online. I interviewed at Information Builders (New York, NY).
Pretty standard. Spoke to four employees within the department I was applying for. We discussed what was written on my resume and past experiences. They were definitely looking for a personality fit and someone hungry and ready to work towards the company's goals. There were no questions set out to deliberately throw you off.
