    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Mars (Chicago, IL) in March 2021.

    Interview

Positive experience overall. Initial outreach from their recruiter followed by a deeper discussion with the hiring manager. This was followed by three remote panel interviews. Not terribly difficult STAR questions - pleasant and very smart panel members. Disappointed in the lack of communication throughout - felt like I was chasing them down for answers, next steps, etc. Finally had to rattle the cage as I hadn't heard back as instructed - only to learn they went internal. Their original outreach began in late February - process ended late April.

    Interview Questions

    • Describe one of your professional failures.
How have you handled multiple projects at once?
Why Mars? Why this role? (which is curious since they contacted me and not vice versa)   Answer Question
