I have been working at Marston's full-time (More than 10 years)
Salary is fair with a annual bonus, on site parking, canteen, staff shop, job is varied and interesting, staff are hard working.
I’m a 21 year employee of one of Marstons owned breweries and can honestly say I have never witnessed such underhand personal bullying bordering blackmail to get employees to work longer hours, the sickness levels are so high now due to this culture, middle tier management has a high turnover with the same leaving feedback of being unable to work under the upper tier management style. Zero training given and poor working conditions?
Advice to Management
Senior management need to not take for granted what feedback they are given, maybe talk to the employees on the floor and take action to show that there is not a them and us scenario, staff being told they should of got a better education if they want more money only adds a wedge and makes managing a team extremely difficult!
