I worked at Morgan Stanley full-time (More than a year)
Great name on your resume. Can’t think of any other reason apart from this. Recommended for junior candidates, it is a great place to build up your professional experience. Get a couple of years of experience, build network and LEAVE!
Toxic culture. Team leader and managers are lack of managerial skills. Dying to get out at the 6th month of employment. It makes me feel stupid being around.
The team leader/team manager only hires the mediocre or submissive candidates because they were sick of being challenged by the smart people. The moment when I heard this, that’s when I decide to quit!
Advice to Management
Management needs to look into how to improve organisational culture and provide leadership training to the middle management. Hire the ambitious and best people. People are the only success key factor to drive company to grow!

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Melbourne (Australia)) in June 2016.
1st round phone interview: one associate and one VP. why MS, why IB, some behavioral questions like what do you think the type of work you will be involved in our department? what kind of characteristic that people work in IB etc. Technical questions like basic walk through DCF valuation model, deprecation effect on financial statements etc.
final round interview: 3 rounds. 1 behavioural, 1 technical and final one is case study. The case study is a bit difficult...
Overall, very nice experience, can feel they are really nice. Learn new things through out the process
