I worked at NYC Department of Human Resource Administration as an intern (More than a year)
Everyone were so nice that the biggest argument I got into was who's holding the door for who, very quiet work environment, everyone I worked with were extremely helpful and felt passionate about their work, as an intern expect to learn a lot of things that you will be using for the rest of your career, plenty of restaurants in and around the building, prime commute location, lateness was never an issue, you get plenty of personal and sick time to use, never had an issue with changing work hours or having to leave to do something, stable work place
Hiring freeze (all posted jobs are already filled before even posting them by converting consultants/interns into employees so it's hard to land a job here)

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NYC Department of Human Resource Administration (Brooklyn, NY) in August 2010.
The interview was more on my previous work experience and skills. The job requirements were described and I had to explain how I fit the bill for this job.
