   I applied online. I interviewed at Advantage Capital (New York, NY) in May 2021

   Interview

   Interviewed with the New York team for Summer Investment Intern. One woman was really nice and we had a pretty good conversation. The other male who interviewed me was super condescending and seemed to really like to brag that he went to Harvard... um ok? After asking me a brainteaser, he pounced on me for getting a simple arithmetic calculation wrong and acted like that was a dealbreaker. I'm not sure if he knew that I have a MS in Engineering from an Ivy school, but he seemed to relish in my mistake and acted really rude afterwards. If this is how the firm determines their hires, I would not want to work here. Also, most questions were accounting based. As a quant, I would not be interested in this firm anyways as interviewer said he cannot code at all and is not good at calculus. Overall a very poor reflection on the firm. Not sure if this person is indicative of the company culture as a whole, but if he is, then that is unfortunate.
