    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Plaid (New York, NY).

    Interview

Two one hour interviews were set up back to back, there was no getting to know you process it was an introduction of yourself via your name and current role and straight into the technical question to be solved. A lack of women interviewers shows the lack of women in engineering at this company and the rejection came with no explanation other than a thank you for your time. For women in engineering who are already a scarcity in this industry we would like to see other women interviewers. It's an indication to us that not are there successful women in this company but they are an active part of the decision making for the company. Tech has always been a boys club and this company just seems to be another reflection of that.
