I worked at Plante Moran (Less than a year)
Honestly everything. Every staff member is extremely helpful and approachable. The internship starts off with training for a week with every other intern and new hire at a hotel (everything is paid for). Every intern makes OT and gets to expense mileage, etc.
I cant think of a single con because I enjoyed my experience so much.
Advice to Management
I cant think of any advice I would give to management because everything was fine.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Plante Moran (Toledo, OH) in August 2009.
I was referred by someone who already worked at the company. Plante & Moran has a strong history. Partners and staff are proud of this, because it truly differentiates the firm from others. I referenced Plante & Moran's history often, which the partner liked very much. Also reference why you would choose Plante & Moran over other mid sized and Big 4 accounting firms.
For new starts, accept the salary they offer. Don't try to negotiate upward. This isn't possible until you have at least a few years experience in public accounting.
