I have been working at Proofpoint as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The culture and community at Proofpoint is one I'm so proud to be apart of. I truly have not met one person I didn't like at this company. The pay is good, the people are kind, the benefits are amazing, and I truly could not say a negative comment about this company.

    Cons

As an intern, I do wish I had more opportunities to meet others on my team in person. Although I have really enjoyed working remotely, I think working in person or having a chance to meet my direct report one on one would have been awesome.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 5+ weeks. I interviewed at Proofpoint (Austin, TX) in January 2019.

    Interview

Best interviewing experience I had. Chatted with a Software Engineer at career fair for 30 minutes then was setup with a recruiter intro then a 30 minute hiring manager intro/screening.

After that, went onsite (pre-Covid) and had three 30 minute sessions:
    1. Easy/Medium leet code question with two senior devs who seemed nice.
    2. Met again with the engineer from career fair as well as the tech lead of the group. They picked an interesting school project off my resume and I got to work through the whole thing with them on a whiteboard. Really enjoyed this part because I got to interact with my future team. Left me confident that I would be happy there.
    3. Further behavioral / personal conversation with the hiring manager.
