I have been working at PwC full-time
Pros
will learn a lot everyday. no time to be bored. flexibility.
Cons
high expectations. high demanding hours.
Application
I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at PwC (San Francisco, CA).
Interview
Internal recruiter call followed by 1-1 then a panel interview. All was well in the process except the recruiter made the experience less than pleasant. It was a typical case where the recruiter falls off and doesn’t provide support or answers in the process, yet they are the only contact. They failed to return a phone call while in process and also failed to return an email (both relevant to the process and on the same subject).
My guess is I wasn’t a “warm” candidate so they tended to the other candidates and simply let me hang out. It is a challenging and less than human approach in 2022 - feeling like just a body to fill a recruiters quota. It also has one feel the imbalance of power so frequently present in interviews, as a candidate could never not respond to a phone call or email and not have it impact their candidacy.
